About Our Herdsires
FD King Arthur King Arthur holds the distinction of having every one of his offspring that is old enough to be shown win a ribbon at a major show. King Arthur consistently improves the dam’s fleece and darkens the dam’s color, even producing dark fawns and medium browns out of white. Add the ability to pass his highly marketable typey full fleece head and you have a top notch herdsire. King Arthur is the best kept secret in the alpaca industry.
Arsenal is a full Peruvian with incredible presence and amazingly fine fleece that remains incredibly fine as he matures. Arsenal is the son of Cas-Cad-Nac Farm’s Peruvian Garrison and Berry Meadow Farm is proud to be passing on this rare bloodline. Arsenal has completed a very impressive show career with 10 ribbons and a reserve championship. He is the sire of our blue ribbon winning, multi-colored herdsire Berry Meadow Derringer. Berry Meadow Impervious Gold Impervious Gold is a full Peruvian who combines the genetics of the famous Altiplano Gold on his sire’s side and Hemingway on his dam’s side for a potent combination. Impervious Gold has an extremely crimpy, super fine bundling fleece from topknot to tail. He has perfect conformation on a large (203 pound) frame and the heavy legs found so appealing in a herdsire. Impervious Gold’s fleeces continue to dominate fleece shows. Five shows = five ribbons in the white class! At the 2007 MaPaca Jubilee fleece show Impervious scored an incredible 19 out of 20 possible points for fineness and handle.
Berry Meadow Paden, an appaloosa, true back with white spots, is the perfect farm ambassador, always greeting visitors at the gate. Combine his personality his dense crimpy fleece and you have an outstanding herdsire. Paden’s sire, Michelangelo, had an outstanding career as a stud on the west coast prior to moving east in 2002 and has sired numerous award winning offspring. Paden’s dam, Tashidelai is an award winning alpaca in her own right and is not for sale at any price.
Berry Meadow Derringer is the future of multi-color alpacas. Full Peruvian with his champion dam, Peruvian Fiona’s beautiful color pattern and super dense crimpy fleece combined with the fineness of his champion sire, CCNF Garrison’s Arsenal, Berry Meadow Derringer has taken the show world by storm. Derringer has taken home a ribbon in every halter/fleece show he has entered. |
